The Polder catalog was a fun yet tedious project. The process of organizing the client provided content was very time consuming. Once we’d designed a system for the interior pages and identified a cover that was reflective of the 2012-2013 theme everything ran pretty smoothly.
The page layouts were similar, but we created feature spreads for each new category that contained environment shots at the section breaks. Each item was displayed with a title item number and brief description in addition to some various colors or usages.
Below are some of our initial ideas for catalog spreads with a few different methods of displaying all the information. Due to timing/budgetary issues we were not able to execute some of the ideas, but found a way to incorporate some of the elements from the 3rd option into the final layout template.
